10/14/2009 JambalayaLittle baby zhu bought a 1979 Canon film SLR today, and I just love it. The previous owner obviously did a great job on maintenance. The camera looks and works in such a classic way that it reminds me of Daddy’s film SLR. That old camera was bought in the 80s, right before I was born. It recorded my entire childhood within the moments of every shutter release, my childhood accompanying my family’s countless moving all the way from Yunnan to Sichuan. Memories were kept in 20 more albums. After I left home for high school, that camera finally got a rest. In the first year of college I got my first camera, a Kodak point-and-shoot which I bought from Carrefour for 50 RMB together with a roll of Kodak film. My second camera is a digital Fuji F30 which is still in use. It’s a great camera and I like it tons. Now I have a Nikon D90. Learning photography teaches me to think and treat things seriously, and with caution, since a tiny little flaw can ruin the whole picture. I guess this is also the way life is. Gunther becomes more active when it is fed. He is good at making pose. Look at the frog yoga: Finally, Mommy sent me several of my old photos. I decide to post one to amuse you guys here: I was looking at the peaches on the tree (Mom insist that it was the pears) and wondering when they’d become ripe and fall off.
